Various tuning and balance adjustments have been made to multiple campaign maps.Adding a computer player or closing a slot in the custom game lobby will no longer increase the player count in the custom game list.Custom Games are now global and can be filtered by ping from all regions.These criteria match original Warcraft III.Portraits are unlocked via reaching certain total lifetime wins.Added a collection of Classic Versus portraits.Player profiles display the player's current rank is for each race, lifetime stats, and match history.Other players’ profiles may be viewed by right-clicking on the player’s name and selecting “View Profile”.Players profiles are accessed by right-clicking on the player icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.Preset filters allow you to sort between race, friends, and mode.Players can now view their rank among others via the Leaderboard, accessible from the Versus screen.A partial name will provide stats for the closest matching name.Typing "!Stats" will display your own Battletag, W/L, and MMR.Typing "!Stats + Username" will display the Battletag, W/L, and MMR for that player.If a player leaves the match, their stats will no longer be retrievable by the "!stats" command.!Stats displays the Win/Loss record and MMR information for players in the current match.After playing a Ranked Match, players will be shown MMR gained and rankings.Players must play 5 placement matches per race to be placed each Season.Players have separate MMR for each race, including Random.Player MMR is reset with the beginning of each season.When a Season ends, the ladder will reset, and players can see their history via their Profile and the Leaderboards.Auto-matching via either mode will count towards wins for Portrait unlocks.Players may now choose between Ranked and Unranked Play on the Versus screen.If Blizzard does indeed have more substantial plans for Warcraft, it’s a safe bet we’ll hear about them at Blizzcon in November. World of Warcraft has kept the world of Azeroth alive and well for many years, but fans of the original RTS format would undoubtedly love a new iteration in the series. With Warcraft III getting some peculiar love from Blizzard recently, it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for the franchise. The latest patch comes on the heels of the first Warcraft III invitational in February. Standard patch features like hero balances and bug fixes have also been implemented. Most notably, the object limit has been increased to 30,000. The patch also includes some map-making changes for World Editors. If you’re somehow still on Windows XP, you might want to update soon, as 1.29 is the last version that will support the dated operating system. The game’s ladder standings have been reset to give players something to work toward again, and its automated tournaments will start back up again next week to help players enjoy the grind.
